This has been my LPTV Australia

This year has been filled with so many highlights that involve my friends, and my favourite band.

The first thing started with a love and a dedication to a man who has inspired me to only air drum the shit out of my stationary, but alongside with his friends has given me a different perception to life. As I grow older with each passing day, I find a way to relate on a daily life, whether it be filled with sorrow, anger, or happiness, I can always relate to Linkin Park. It started with a trend:

#HappyBirthdayRobBourdon trended early in the morning for me – it was one of the best ways to celebrate his birthday. I had stayed up all night to work on the final touches to his birthday video. With uncertainty in mind that he would see it, social media shyness added to my doubts and worries, I posted it with the help of the participants and friends in various websites.

But after putting my phone down the next morning, overtired from converting the format into a different one and uploading the video from a different server than youtube, Rob tweeted to the participants and myself of his birthday video.

With tickets to Sydney Soundwave, Sydney LIVING THINGS with Stone Sour as support, I grabbed an extra chance to see them again with my friend Cass and it was her belated birthday present (late by a week or so) to see Linkin Park in Melbourne again for the final LIVING THINGS World tour. It was also the first time in my life I had the chance to meet Linkin Park, as I was sitting down at Soundwave eating my lunch when I received an email saying that I won a spot in Melbourne Meet and Greet.

My neon orange and a black fluffy legwarmers earned a reputation lately – as Mike Shinoda said it himself that he liked them. Guess it’s kind of random to see a fan at the front of the group photo with something out of the ordinary. It was much less to what I was planning to wear but it was good. With my t shirt signed that had Rob’s tweet on it, I was ecstatic when he signed it! He was overtired and looked exhausted so I didn’t push him to remember me, but that meant the world to me. Even more so when I told him about the incident about him throwing a drum stick at my face the night before and he had a conversation with me about it. I don’t know what was more exciting, meeting him or talking to him.

Then this happened today:

Yes that is me in the very front of the M and G in Melbourne with the fluffy leg warmers! Best thing to ever wake up to!

Thank you Linkin Park for making my year complete! (It’s only April – but still).

Thank you to my friends who have put up with my fangirling bullshit and helping me with my endeavors! Thank you for the support and guidance along the way. Without you guys, I wouldn’t have had the guts to do the things that I have done. I would love to embarrass the shit out of three very special friends that have got me where I am now –

Trixie from Germany, I wouldn’t know what to do without you! You’re the guidance I have when I have no light. We may fight, we may not get on along 100% a the time, but I freaking love you. I don’t even know how we met, but I feel like I have always known you – we are so alike in so many ways but at the same time we’re as equally as different as one another and that’s what makes us great friends.

Irene from USA, we met on Twitter on the LOST IN THE ECHO premiere when I kept thinking I broke the internet, but I feel like I’ve known you forever. Your words of Keep Calm and Love Rob minutes before meet and greet meant so much to me that I don’t have the words to describe how much you mean the world to me. You’ve supported me through thick and thin with all walks of life.

Karin from Japan, we met through the LIVING THINGS Scavenger Hunt and I never have felt a more personal connection with anyone before. You are my sister from another mother. Well you all are, but you have taught me many things about my country that I didn’t even know! And let’s admit it, lesbian comments do make friendships work.

Last but not least, (this sounds as corny as shit) but thank you Rob! You are such a sweet-hearted gentleman and it was a great privilege to meet such a sincere man. You may be shy as anything but you will always be my idol.

I was 18 when this photo was taken. It was taken in my home town and Linkin Park have been there every step of the way.

Daniel Johns – Most liked Hunter Region Singer

Daniel Johns wins 25% most liked Hunter Region Singer

Above is an article I found in The Herald briefly mentioning Daniel Johns. The Hunter Region of New South Wales basically consists of Newcastle and surrounding small towns.

ANZAC Day 2013

Today, the 25th of April,  marks the Australian New Zealand Army Corps Day, where hundreds of young men’s lives were lost, indigenous and non-indigenous, on the shores of Gallipoli, Turkey, during World War I. It is a day of remembrance of the lives that were lost for the freedom that we have today, which is symbolised by the poppy flower. Though ANAZAC Day failed its original military objective to overthrow the Ottoman Empire, it has marked a significant virtue and spirit how citizens have viewed the events of the Great War.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN ROCK’N’ROLL BY REALLY, REALLY TRYING

Linkin Park are more than the eight-times-platinum nice guys of nu metal. They’re crusaders who’ll endure any torture – even near death spider bites – to bring salvation to a nation of teenage anger prisoners. And their new album Meteora, might just save your life, too.

This one time, at band camp – okay, it was actually Ozzfest 2001, but it really felt like being at camp, and there were bands there, and it was summer – this huge spider bit Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington on the ass. Bennington is one of Linkin Park’s two singers, the one who does the real singing and most of the screaming. The spider was, like, a black widow or something. The welt – which Bennington shows off, with a mix of pride and terror, on Linkin Park’s best-selling DVD Frat Party at the Pankake Festival – is awe-inspiring in a Jackass kind of way: black and blue and about the size of an orange.

Smashed gear, 40 different choruses and one major control freak. Expect another monster hit for Linkin Park.

With Hybrid Theory certified as the biggest selling album of 2001, you would have to expect some modest alterations to vocalist 26 year old Chester Bennington’s lifestyle. “Even if I had bought a house in Malibu, I don’t think it is something that people are interested in,” he says agitatedly. “OI don’t care when Tom Cruise buys a new house. It is not something that makes me want to run out and buy a magazine to read about it.” But there’s no denying that everything had changed for all six members of of Linkin Park. Emcee/Pro Tools whiz Mike Shinoda, 25, can’t even venture out for a hamburger in peace. “I tend to get recognised in fast food restaurants,” he says bewildered. “I expect to get recognised if I am in a record store because people are thinking about music, but I don’t get why Linkin Park would be at the forefront of people’s minds when they are thinking about greasy hamburgers.”

Happy Birthday Daniel Johns

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL

20130422-232627.jpg

May you have a wonderful day (even though it’s half an hour until your birthday ends here), where ever you maybe.

Snuff

Bury all your secrets in my skin
Come away with innocence and leave me with my sins
The air around me still feels like a cage
And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again

So if you love me let me go
And run away before I know
My heart is just too dark to care
I can’t destroy what isn’t there

Deliver me into my fate
If I’m alone I cannot hate
I don’t deserve to have you
Ooh, my smile was taken long ago
If I can change I hope I never know

I still press your letters to my lips
And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss
I couldn’t face a life without your lights
But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight

So save your breath, I will not care
I think I made it very clear
You couldn’t hate enough to love
Is that supposed to be enough?

I only wish you weren’t my friend
Then I could hurt you in the end
I never claimed to be a saint
Ooh, my own was banished long ago
It took the death of hope to let you go

So break yourself against my stones
And spit your pity in my soul
You never needed any help
You sold me out to save yourself

And I won’t listen to your shame
You ran away, you’re all the same
Angels lie to keep control
Ooh, my love was punished long ago
If you still care don’t ever let me know
If you still care don’t ever let me know
